Village Curry House (Glasgow)

129 Nelson Street
Glasgow G5 8DZ, United Kingdom
Tel: 0141 429 6727
This is one of the best and most authentic Indian foods I have tasted in Glasgow. The problems with this place is it looks like a dump inside and try not to go to the toilet, no hot water, no soap, no paper towels and a broken hand dryer plus the place could do with a deep clean too.

City Hall Maxim's Palace - Dim Sum (HKG)

Low Block, City Hall, Central, Hong Kong
Tel: 2521 1301
This restaurant served traditional Dim Sum. I have to say this is one of the restaurant, "not to be missed". They do have some of the best dim sum. Friendly ladies push carts of specialties around the dining room, which has a great view of the harbor. Get there early so you don't have to wait in line for a long time or later around 2pm, it's easier. Call to make sure it's open -- sometimes it's closed for private functions.

Nando's (Manchester)

Nando's Manchester - Oxford Rd
The Quad, 3 Chester Street, Lancashire
Tel: 0161 236 5600
www.nandos.co.uk/
Nando's are all about their Portugese Peri-Peri Chicken. This restaurant does not have waiter/ess served. Once decided on what you want to eat you have to order the food from the cashier counter and they will bring it to your table.

The menu mainly consists of various forms of chicken - Chicken wings, full and half chicken, chicken burger which are all cooked in the famous Peri-Peri sauce. Their Peri-Peri sauce comes in mild, medium, hot or extra hot. I would recommend order the chicken in medium, so if you like it hotter, you can add more sauce on your own. The meals comes with 2 regular sides or 1 fino side. Regular sides - Chips (french fries), Corn on the cobb, Garlic bread, Spicy rice, Coleslaw, Macho peas or Creamy mash. Fino sides - Ratatouille (recommend), Sweet Potato Mash or Nando's Mixed Leaf Salad. Their price are reasonable.
